Dolly Dash Fun Run & Early Literacy Fair

Greater Gallatin United Way is expanding the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program to Park County and are throwing a kick-off event to celebrate! The event will begin at 9am with an early literacy fair at Sacagawea Park in Livingston and will be followed by a 1k dash at 9:30am and a 5K at 10:00 am. The fair will display local partners who do excellent work to improve early literacy in our communities! 1k registration costs $10 and the 5k costs $20. All registrants will receive a t-shirt with their registration fee! All proceeds from the event will go to Greater Gallatin United Way's Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program in Park County. Bring the whole family and sign your kids up for free books during the event! Dolly Parton's Imagination Library (DPIL) mails one free book, per month to kids under the age of five. Right now, 28% of Elementary school students in Montana are falling behind their peers in reading. While children that are read to at least 3 times a week are almost twice as likely to score in the top 25% in reading, according to the US Department of Education. Greater Gallatin United Way has sent over 40,000 free books to kids in Gallatin County since 2019. And we are ready to do the same for Park County kids!
