Tinworks Art is thrilled to announce that Nervous Theatre, Bozeman’s local rootless, contemporary theatre company, will join us for a second season. This year, get your tickets early for the premiere of their reimagined production of The Caucasian Chalk Circle, an intensely political and deeply human story by Bertolt Brecht. Brecht’s play exposes the destructive power of ownership, as well as the arbitrary nature of justice. In its original Marxist context, The Caucasian Chalk Circle asks, “How do we decide who is best fit to care for the lands that we inhabit?” In their boldly contemporary rendition, Nervous Theatre redirects this question to our own community. Playful, engaging, and thought-provoking, the production asks, “Are the people in charge taking the best care?”
