Cosmic Sans:
We are Cosmic Sans, a psychedelic rock band from Missoula,
Montana, that released our first eponymous album in
October. We are comprised of Jake Howell on lead vocals,
Seamus Jennings on lead guitar and synth, Cole Bronson on
drums, Will Stoskopf on rhythm guitar, and Lane Ulberg on
bass. Cosmic Sans have been playing shows around Montana
for 2 years and have gotten frequent practice performing in
front of all types of crowds, playing a blend of psych rock,
punk, jazz, and soul. Described as "psychedelic jams with
otherworldly aspirations" by the Missoulian, Missoula's
independent newspaper, the band has enjoyed an easy
footing in the arts community of Western Montana. As stated
by the University of Montana's Kaimin newspaper, "for the
past two years, going from small venues and garage parties to
requests to open for Grammy-nominated artists, the all-UM
student band Cosmic Sans has become one of Missoula's
most well-known."
Los Toms:
Heavy molecule-splitting psychrock from the high desert. Colorado’s premier psychedelic rock band. Beaming worldwide from Fort Collins.
From out of the dark chaos, a blistering emergence of light… Like ancient wizards bending time, Los Toms masterfully wield the Psychedelic Desert Fuzz, summoning the deep magick ::: the oscillation between mesmerizing hypnosis and primordial fuzz. The ebb and flow, pulling like water, pushes sonic boundaries and burrows into the liminal spaces of the mind.
King Ropes:
Super Natural, King Ropes’ fifth album, is at once their most ambitious and most intimate work, expanding the parameters of the band’s desert rock and ragged americana sound. It is buoyed by a directness that brings out Hollier’s most stirring songwriting to date. Hollier has a gift for writing about tragedy and pain with wry humor and conversational bluntness. Long-simmering family trauma, visions of animal reincarnation, mysterious respiratory ailments — all are worthy songwriting prompts as the record vacillates from the pounding rhythms of “Hello Sun” and thick, stoner-rock roar of “Drunk Donny” to the tenderness of “Sure,” a sorrowful, synth-driven ode to regret, and the quietly stunning, disarmingly plainspoken “Breathing”.
