Music in the Mountains: Chancey Williams

Join us for another another amazing night of free Music in the Mountains in Big Sky as we bring some Wyoming-style country music to the Big Sky Town Center’s Len Hill Park to kick off the annual Big Sky PBR event! Opening the show will be the honky tonk sounds of Bozeman’s Sam Platts and the Plainsmen.

Wyoming native Chancey Williams and his “Younger Brothers Band,” have relentlessly toured the Western United States, developing a rabid fan base not seen from the Cowboy State since Chris LeDoux. In fact, Chancey Williams and LeDoux are the only two people to ride in the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo (one of the most famous in the world) and play its main stage as a major entertainer. The band has shared the stage with dozens of artists, including Lady Antebellum, Old Dominion, Miranda Lambert, Eric Church, Brantley Gilbert, Gary Allan and Travis Tritt. They’ve also enjoyed many bills with Texas contemporaries Casey Donahew, Aaron Watson and Stoney LaRue. But, Williams says, nothing beats the opportunity to have occasionally been direct support for their heroes, legends like LeDoux, Alabama, Merle Haggard and Dwight Yoakam.

The Park opens at 6, music starts at 6:30, headliner will play at 8 p.m. Admission is free! Please, remember that NO DOGS or GLASS CONTAINERS are allowed in the park. Also, this year we are partnering with Bozeman Health and the Big Sky Community Organization to make our events TOBACCO and SMOKE FREE! Thank you in advance for helping to make this public gathering space welcome and safe for all.
