Queer on the spectrum: Autism and Sexuality
This workshop is intended for clinicians, individuals, partners or family members with those who identify as gender diverse and neurodivergent.
Research is showing an increase of individuals who identify as autistic and LGBTQIA2+. This workshop will discuss the history of autism, common myths, clinical considerations, and ways to enhance intimacy with sensory processing in mind.
Jack Duroc-Danner is a queer autistic sexuality educator and Licensed Massage Therapist who utilizes research across a number of fields and lived experience of being queer on the spectrum when teaching and consulting. Jack works with therapists as well as other professionals, parents/caregivers and autistic individuals on how to support autistic individuals by providing consultations (one-on-one as well as group consultation), resources, and educational workshops on the intersection of human sexuality and autism.
Hannah Wilson is a LCPC and an AASECT Clinical Sex Therapist who has specialized with working with this population. Working toward her PhD in Clinical Sexology with a Kink focus. Trained through the Fenway Institute and WPATH for gender affirming care. Proud owner of Prickly Peach Sex Therapy and Oh Hi Collective. She is also a teaching professor at Montana State University.
