Belgrade Districts Candidates Forum

Belgrade Community Library is hosting a live non-partisan candidates forum for three offices in Legislative House Districts 67 & 68 and Senate District 34 on Wednesday, October 26 from 6:30-8:00PM. The candidates forum is sponsored by Belgrade Community Library Foundation, Bozeman Public Library, League of Women Voters, American Association of University Women, and Bozeman Professional Women. The candidates scheduled to speak are: Jedediah Hinkle (Incumbent, Republican) and Elizabeth Marum (Democrat) of HD 67; Joe Hancock (Democrat) and Caleb Hinkle (Incumbent, Republican) of HD 68; and Damion Lynn (Democrat) and Shelley Vance (Republican) of SD 34. The public is encouraged to attend the forum and bring questions to the candidates. The forum series is free, and no pre-registration is required. Questions from the audience will be accepted after brief opening statements by each candidate. The forum will be recorded and posted to the Belgrade Community Library’s YouTube page after the event. Ballots for the general election will be mailed out mid-October and can be returned by mail or in-person from 8AM to 5PM Monday through Friday to the County Election Office at 333 W Main St, Room 210 in Bozeman. Ballots are due or must be postmarked by 8PM on November 8. In addition to mail ballots, voters also have the option to vote in person at the Gallatin County Election office or at polling places on November 8.
