Danno Simpson was born in Dallas, TX, and raised on the high plains of Colorado. Drawing his influence from Texas songwriting legends (Towns Van Zandt, Guy Clark & Willis Alan Ramsey) and the mountain music of the Rocky Mountains, Danno creates story-driven narratives that pay homage to the past while connecting with modern audiences.

Cutting his teeth in the dusty cowboy bars of Colorado and Wyoming; Danno’s start was anything but easy. From dive bars all across the United States, and theaters in the Rocky Mountains, to headlining his own show at Luckenbach, TX; Danno continues to perfect his craft and continues to put in the miles, remaining authentic and honest in his music. Doing things the “old-fashioned way” has garnered Danno a grassroots and passionate following.
