History & Evolution of Firearm Technology in MT

On Saturday, June 24, Kevin Underwood will give a presentation about the history and evolution of firearm technology in Montana through the 19th Century. The presentation begins at 7 p.m. at Missouri Headwaters State Park.

Underwood completed a rigorous three-year gunsmithing school at Yavapai College in Arizona. For the past nine years, he has been gunsmithing, specializing in 19th Century arms, and is a member of the Montana Historical Gunmakers Guild. For the past 15 years, his favorite pastime has been competing in historically based shooting events and living history encampments. Underwood has been an advisor on TV shows and currently in the process of starting his own gunsmithing shop in Three Forks.
