Welcome to the Virginia City Gold Rush - a 5k or 1.2k running/walking tour of historic Virginia City! Start in Discovery-Ellingsen Park and go to downtown Virginia City. 1.2k walkers and runners return to the park while 5k participants take a hillier route past many additional historic structures in Virginia City and also take in the view from Boot Hill Cemetery. Finally the 5k run returns to Discovery-Ellingsen Park for refreshments, awards, and a great time! Be on the lookout for the stagecoach, narrow gauge train, and course marshals dressed in 1800's regalia!
