The Longest Night of the Year: Homeless Persons' Memorial Day

On Thursday, December 21, the Longest Night of the Year, the Bozeman community will recognize Homeless Persons' Memorial Day. The event is dedicated to remembering our neighbors who have died while homeless in the past year and is presented in partnership with other agencies in the Gallatin Valley such as HRDC, Dahl Funeral and Cremation Service, many faith organizations, and more.

National Homeless Persons' Memorial Day takes place each year on the longest night of the year. The Library hosts the event with a candlelight vigil, messages of hope, and a moment of silence on the front lawn (or inside the lobby) of the Library at 6 PM.

Please dress warmly as this is an outside event. Light refreshments will be provided thanks to the Bozeman Library Foundation.
