Local Government Review Town Hall
Join us for a town hall to learn about the upcoming vote to review our local government. On June 4th, we have a once in a decade opportunity to re-design the Bozeman city government to meet our changing needs. Under the Montana Constitution, Montana city and county governments are required to undergo a citizen review every 10 years. This uniquely democratic opportunity invites us all to be architects of our future rather than bystanders. Speakers will include former Mayor of Bozeman, Carson Taylor. Current Deputy Mayor Joey Morrison, former Compassion Project Director and Local Tenant Organizer Tia Geobel, and Director at the MSU Local Government Center Dan Clark. There will be time to answer questions about the government review process and discuss what revising the City Charter could mean for Bozeman. We'll get clear on the significance of the vote for a study commission on June 4th and what comes next in the government review process. You'll leave this town hall knowing how you can participate in this historic moment to shape a city government that is of Bozeman, by Bozeman, and for Bozeman.
