“Celebrating growth within the police department, through new officers and well-earned promotions, is one of the most rewarding experiences of public service,” Chief Jim Veltkamp stated. “The addition of these new officers brings the Police Department to 75 sworn officers." 

 

Among the officers being sworn in, four are joining as a lateral transfer from another law enforcement agency, and four are starting their careers as new recruits. Each officer’s commitment to public safety and service will be formally recognized during the event.

 

In addition to the Swearing-In Ceremony, Chief Jim Veltkamp will recognize a number of internal promotions and present several department awards for recent contributions and achievements.
