The Significance of Round Dances by Presenter Thomas Limberhand

The MOR community is interested in learning more about tribal culture and traditions, such as dances. In February, we will host AANIIIH NAKODA (White Clay People) of Fort Belknap, Montana presenter Vincent Short will share the importance of the drum, song, and teach schoolchildren how to round dance. Through hand drums and songs, this winter dance serves as a time for Native people to celebrate kinship, harmony, and community.
