Planting the Past Seed Box Workshop: Spring Start

Come grow with us and plant the seeds of spring! Build your own historic seed box and kick off your spring gardening season! Participants will create seed boxes modeled after those used between the 1860s and 1920s. As you decorate your box while sipping on complimentary tea and coffee, you’ll receive heirloom seed varieties to take home and plant. Learn about traditional gardening methods, plants, and the early agricultural practices that shaped Montana’s farms.
