Opera Montana presents a special preview of A River Runs Through It, a new opera created in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Norman Maclean’s beloved novella. Before its world premiere this September, experience selections from this remarkable new work inspired by one of Montana’s most enduring stories of family, faith, fly fishing and the landscapes that shape us.

Set at Riverhouse BBQ on the banks of the Gallatin River, where scenes from the acclaimed film adaptation were filmed, this intimate evening offers a rare opportunity to experience the music before the full production premieres this fall.

Guests are invited to arrive at 7:00 PM to enjoy the setting, socialize, and grab a drink before the performance begins. Following the presentation, performers will participate in a short audience Q&A.
