The Star Restaurant first opened in 1863, serving miners a fine loaf of bread, beer and meals. Today fantastic food, friendly staff and a pleasant environment best describe the historic Star Bakery and Restaurant. Our full service restaurant features some of the best breakfast in all of Montana. Our lunch and dinners, along with regional beers and wines, give our guests an excellent value for outstanding food.

The Star Restaurant and Bakery is located on Highway 287 in Nevada City, one mile west of historic Virginia City, approximately 70 miles southeast of Butte and approximately 87 miles from Yellowstone National Park.

The Star Bakery will offer freshly baked items including pies, cookies, desserts, and breads. At the Star Restaurant our menu features American fare and comfort food, prepared fresh daily. We feature full menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Selections include the Star Philly and Rueben sandwiches at lunch, along with excellent hamburgers and fries. The dinner menu offers steak, seafood and pasta dishes. Watch for our chef’s daily featured item at both lunch and dinner. Don’t forget to try our famous fried pickles, they are awesome!
