Enrolling in the WIC (Women, Infant, Children) Program Provides Monthly Benefits

Enrolling in the WIC (Women, Infant, Children) program can help with a critical time in pregnancy and early childhood. The WIC program is designed to support the health and well-being through monthly benefits for nutritious food, breastfeeding support, health screenings and referrals, nutrition education, and helping to support vulnerable populations including migrants, homeless, and those in transitional housing. Early enrollment ensures timely access to these important benefits.

The Gallatin WIC offices offer flexible hours. The WIC program uses materials that match people’s culture and language, making it easier to understand and trust. By meeting women where they are—physically and emotionally—WIC can serve as a lifeline during a vulnerable time, promoting healthier pregnancies and stronger starts for children. Gallatin WIC has three locations in Gallatin County.

Women and children who have Medicaid, HMK Plus, SNAP, TANF, Best Beginnings Traditional Scholarship, Free or ReducedPrice Lunch (non-community eligibility provision), and FDPIR are income eligible.

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online at: https://www.usda.gov/sites/default/files/documents/ad-3027.pdf , from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
