Tim & Mary Barnard Aquatics Center Renovation at Eagle Mount Building Bridges to The Future
BOZEMAN – Eagle Mount Bozeman announces the public launch of its Bridge to Our Future Capital Campaign, an initiative aimed to complete raising the remaining $500,000 of an $8 million total dollar campaign to support essential campus improvements. These include a roof replacement and facility enhancements to the Tim and Mary Barnard Aquatics Center, a 19.05 Arce campus addition, and critical accessibility improvements to the Eagle Mount campus on Goldenstein Lane.
The campaign will ensure Eagle Mount Bozeman can continue delivering transformative programs that strengthen our community. “For more than 43 years, we have worked with thousands individuals with disabilities, young people impacted by cancer, respective families, and volunteers to deliver Eagle Mount’s mission of providing adaptive recreation” says Kevin Sylvester, Executive Director. Today, Eagle Mount offers five core adaptive programs: Aquatics, Horsemanship, Big Sky Kids (oncology camps), Arts & Horticulture, and Year-Round Outdoor Recreation.
“I don’t think most people realize how many lives are affected by Eagle Mount’s facilities and programing, specifically the pool” says Maggie Lowry, Aquatics Director. “Daily, 50 to 100 participants and community members rely on Bozeman's only heated indoor saltwater pool”. This pool was designed specifically to meet the needs of Eagle Mount's community. In December 2024, the Aquatics Center was closed out of an abundance of caution due to structural issues with the roof, and renovations are now taking place with an expected opening date of early summer 2026.
Additionally, Eagle Mount has recently secured an additional 19.05 acres through this campaign initiative. This addition ensures the future of adaptive recreation facilities in our growing community. The community will be engaged in a thoughtful process to envision a community hub built to provide accessible recreation, open space, and connectivity at the heart of Bozeman.
The campaign has already secured $7.5 million toward its $8 million goal through generous leadership gifts, demonstrating strong community support for Eagle Mount’s mission.
