Honest-to-goodness, down-home cooking can still be found in the West...at the Western Cafe in downtown Bozeman! For more than 50 years, the Western Cafe has thrived on Main Street servin' up the best cinnamon rolls and chicken fried steak West of the Mississippi River.

Fans include those that know the 'old' Bozeman, and those that still love the 'new' Bozeman.

The Western Cafe is my favorite breakfast place in Bozeman. Whenever my boyfriend comes into town, this is our go to spot. Not only is the food excellent, but the portions are big and the price is right.

Imagine Bozeman in the 1960’s. The outside world – the cities beyond our enclosed ring of mountains – is in the midst of the swingin’ sixties, music and culture quickly and vastly changing. The winds of changes shift. Social upheaval begins to send warning tremors and shockwaves throughout the country. Way up in the rockies however, Bozeman has remained a true blue cowboy kind of town.
