September 2021 Cover Artist: Kirsten Kainz

Kirsten Kainz sees the beauty in life, it sets her purpose. She has a never-ending need to create works of art that reflect the beauty, wonder and humor that she sees all around her. Her works of art are wonderful reminders to ourselves to enjoy and honor the spectacular beauty of our natural world.

Kainz balances her role as a mother of four girls with her art career. Living in the countryside of Montana allows for plenty of daily inspiration. The Montana landscape inspires her paintings and expands the boundaries of her sculptural work. She makes works of art that simply come from a well-nurtured place of inspiration. She likes to work on commission for clients with specific goals and placements.

While studying art at SIU, Carbondale, IL, and Curtain University in Western Australia, Kirsten worked with many mediums including ceramics, glass blowing, bronze casting, architectural ironwork, but working with metal stole her heart. She focused on metals and graduated with a BFA in metalsmithing. Her award-winning paintings and sculptures are featured in public and private collections around the nation.

Her art is on display around town in Bozeman, including Main St, the Public Library, the Emerson Cultural Center for the Arts, The Lark Hotel, The Element Hotel, Architect’s Wife, and Map Brewery.

She has a studio space in Bozeman where her works are being created and are on display. Feel free to call and set up a visit, 406-579-9845. See more of Kirsten’s work on her website www.kirstenkainz.net and/or Instagram @kirstenkainzart
