It’s no surprise Bozeman has a hard time choosing a best local bluegrass band. While we obviously love the genre, the bands sharing the top of this year’s list are those with their own definitions of what the music can be. Kitchen Dwellers’ music hybrid is galaxy grass, combining bluegrass and psychedelic rock. Laney Lou and The Bird Dogs’ interpretation of the genre, party grass, has roots in their rollicking stage show.
