September Cover Artist: Callie Albrecht
Callie Albrecht was born and raised in the Gallatin Valley in the early ‘90s. Shortly after graduating high school, she embarked on a journey abroad to Central America. There she spent four years for Bible education work and was able to enjoy a mix of many of her passions such as travel, photography, and new cultures. In all of her travels, Callie has always maintained her love of photography and exploration.
After returning to Bozeman in 2016 she attended Esthetics school followed by a move to Missoula where she worked at a Medical Spa for two years. She is currently back in her hometown enjoying being closer to family and exploring the many natural gems that Bozeman has to offer. She will soon be starting a new job at one of Bozeman’s local business’s Earth Treasure’s and is excited to get back into her passion for photography, assisting them with advertising.
The image for this months cover of Bozeman Magazine was taken while on an evening exploration drive with her mother. A large glimmer of yellow caught their eye in the distance and they couldn’t resist the temptation to investigate what it was. The result of the exploration was a delightful surprise, a 100-acre sunflower field. The Latin pop artist Luis Fonsi new song “Girasoles” talks about how Sunflowers, which always continue to spin, are a beautiful symbol of the soon to come return of normalcy and our loved ones’ close presence after the end of this pandemic.
Callie enjoys photography mostly for her own personal use or for loved ones but can be contacted upon request by email at callie.albrecht@aol.com or by phone 406-580-1202.
